How a project moves

The order is the last step of the sale

An architect specifies your product. A dealer quotes it. An installer orders it, sometimes years later. Many pipelines only start at the quote.

Your product is decided here

Many pipelines start here

01

Tender or planning

A project is announced. Bids and specifications take shape.

02

Specification

The architect names your product. Nothing has been ordered yet.

03

Dealer quote

A dealer asks you for a price. A competitor may already be in the spec.

04

Installer order

The order is placed, often long after the specification.

05

Delivery

Schedules, service and the start of the next project.

A

One record per project

Every architect, dealer and installer on a project links to the same record. A rep sees the whole path of a deal instead of three separate lists.

B

The project timeline

Tender dates, bid deadlines and delivery schedules sit on the project, so a deal that runs for years stays visible for years.

C

Quotes tied to the specification

Quoting follows the specified products and the delivery schedule, so the quote matches what the architect wrote.

D

Relationships that outlast a project

The next project starts with what you already know about the architect and the dealer.

E

Field work without re-typing

A rep on a job site speaks or types a few lines after a visit. The participants, topics and tasks are drafted for the rep to confirm.

Where AI takes work off your team

Four jobs the AI does before your team starts

Each one runs in our own products today. In your app, it does the routine work and a person decides.

01

Finding projects early

AI scans sources for your region and lists new construction projects, with the architects, contractors and dealers involved.

Runs today in Baucore Project Watch
02

Reading quote requests

Emails, PDF specifications and Excel bills of materials become draft quotes, matched to your catalogue. The AI flags anything uncertain.

Runs today in Baucore Inbox and SpecifiQ
03

Connecting your systems

CRM, ERP and price lists stay in sync, so reps quote from current prices and stock.

04

Preparing the follow-up

After a site visit, the AI updates the record and drafts the follow-up tasks. It does the same when a project changes stage. Your team decides what goes out.

AI you can check

The AI prepares. Your team decides.

Every result shows where it came from. Your team approves, edits or rejects before anything reaches a customer.

  • It reads the email, the PDF and the Excel list.
  • It flags what it is unsure about.
  • It records every correction and applies it next time.

Baucore, your Salesforce, or your own app

We build all three. On the first call we tell you which one fits, and whether to build at all.

01

Baucore

If you sell like most building-product manufacturers, start with the product. A project and specification CRM on Salesforce, with AI agents inside. Built by IBS, now an independent company.

02

Your Salesforce org

We extend the org you already run: the project data model, integrations and AI agents, shaped around how your team sells. Salesforce partner since 2018.

03

Your own app

For the process no product covers, or when your users have no Salesforce licence. Your source code and database, connected to Salesforce, ERP and PIM.

If more than one fits, we start where your data already is.

How we start

From first call to software your team runs

Experienced architects build with AI. You see working software early and steer it while changes are still cheap.

01

First call

30 minutes · free

You describe the use case. We tell you whether it fits Baucore, Salesforce or an own app, and whether it is worth building.

02

Blueprint

A matter of weeks · fixed scope, fee and end date

You get a blueprint of what is built, where and in what order. It is yours, even if someone else builds it. If we build, the fee is credited.

03

Build and hand over

Working software within weeks

We hand over code, documentation and tests, train your team, and stay available whenever you need us.

Questions we get asked

Common questions on selling building products

How can building product manufacturers track which projects their products are specified in?

Most manufacturers learn about a project when a dealer or installer places an order, long after an architect specified the product. Tracking the specification stage means linking architects, dealers and installers to individual projects as well as to contacts. Then you can see a project's status from first specification to order. This is the data model Baucore, our project CRM for the industry, is built around.

How do you manage sales through architects, dealers and installers in one system?

Give every project one record, and link each architect, dealer and installer to it. A rep then sees the full multi-tier path of a deal instead of three separate pipelines. We build this in Salesforce, in Baucore or in a standalone app, depending on what you already run.

Why do manufacturers lose specified projects before the order?

The usual cause is a visibility gap. The product is specified early, but nobody follows the project until a dealer asks for a quote, and by then a competitor may already be specified in. Closing the gap means following projects from tender or specification onward.

How can field sales reps track opportunities without spreadsheets?

Reps who spend the day on job sites need to log a visit in a minute instead of at the end of the day. A tool built around the rep's day takes a few spoken or typed lines and drafts the participants, topics and tasks on the project record. The rep confirms each item.

Is a standard CRM setup enough for project-based, multi-tier sales?

Standard pipelines are built for one buyer moving through linear stages. A project that passes through architect, dealer and installer over several years needs a project-based data model. Salesforce can be configured for it, and that model is the part that takes industry knowledge. A product such as Baucore starts with it.

When does custom software make sense instead of an off-the-shelf tool?

When your process is a point of difference, or when connecting several standard tools costs more than building the one piece you need. If you sell like most companies in your industry, a product is usually the faster route, and we tell you so on the first call.
